Sandpiper was a complete renovation. Most of the houses here in Alderney are more than 200 years old and Sand piper was one of them. Our skill and knowledge comes into its own when dealing with such a beautiful and historical house.
Firstly we ripped out all the insides and took the plaster of the walls. The staircase stayed with some minor repairs. The roof needed to be completely replaced and rebuilt. We added one dormer windows at the back to allow natural light into the top bedroom. The client wanted all three floors to be similar in decor to create a natural flow of light to fill the house.
The kitchen is located in an extension in the back of the house. We installed a new roof on the extension with a skylight for more natural light. We excavated small yard from the kitchen to garden and created a large patio space
